About the Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District

The Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District, or as most know us, the KC Recycling Depot, is a small, special unit of the government.
The Solid Waste District is dedicated to the environment through education, reduction of waste entering landfills, and the protection of our water through proper disposal of household hazardous waste materials.

Since 1991, the KC Recycling Depot has been the only location in Kosciusko County to recycle household hazardous waste. Along with recycling and disposal, the Solid Waste District provides environmental educational lessons to all Kosciusko County residents, schools, groups, and businesses!

We are funded by landfill tipping fees, a small solid waste fee on property taxes, and user fees.
